This is how this email arrived, all messed up - A scam to get you to visit a site that has nothing to do with fedEx.

My daughter recieved this today (09/12/12) it is a scam and has been around for a little while. It is a phishing scam aimed at obtaining your personal details and gaining access to your Student Finance account. Please, if you know any students using Student Finance in the UK, pass a link to this post on to them. 
Note the website below is actually lateniteent.com but this won't be from them either it's a 'mask' to the actual site that skims your details.

We refer to your current application for student finance. Our records indicate that we still appear to be awaiting the requested details, to support and determine your eligibility, and enable your application to proceed.

If you do not supply the eligibility evidence required, then your current application for student finance will be cancelled.

This is NOT from facebook.... If you recieve an email like this, do nothing... The email address it was sent to doesn't have a facebook page! And check out the poor grammar THAT's the giveaway! (eg: "as some outlaw person may be used it") ;)

This one is SCARY DANGEROUS.... FW: UK Payments transaction problems

The link in this email originally pointed to a fake .pdf document called 'report.pdf' but will actually download a file to your computer that is an EXECUTABLE file called 'report.pdf.exe'    This file contains the Virus - 'Trojan horse PSW.Generic10.AQYW' (Detected by AVG)
 
Do NOT click the link ..... if you do accidentally click and end up with a file called report.pdf.exe DO NOT TRY TO OPEN IT . If you have a decent antivirus program that is up to date, it will not let you click anyway.
